From the beginning, Ross has demonstrated exceptional passion and skill for styling hair. He was selected for the Aveda team for London fashion week while attending the Aveda Academy from 2015-2017. After an apprenticeship at Matthew Morris and a few years at Floyd’s Barber Shop, Ross is so enthusiastic about bringing his talents to the Above Ground team. He specializes in fades, balayage and styling. If you’re looking for a fun up style for a night out, a crispy fade, or a gorgeous natural balayage, Ross has you covered.

Hailing from Grosse Point, MI, Erin has brought together her deep love for art with studies in London and Los Angeles in fashion design with her hairdressing career, for over a decade. When you don’t find her behind the chair specializing in CLASSIC TRADITIONAL SHORT CUTS, BEACH WAVE CUTS, SHAGS, ROCKER MULLETS, NEW WAVE HAIR, THE BEST BANGS/FRINGE or PUNK COLOR, BALAYAGE and BLEACH AND TONE you might catch her at a yoga class or cruising around on her fixie. Erin can’t wait to give you exactly what you want, whether it’s crusty punk or modern classic, she’s your chick/lady/goddess/elf queen!

Capri

Capri’s been doing hair magic since 2010. She is Vidal Sassoon trained from a school in Austin, TX where she won a national BEACON cutting competition. Capri loves shags, mullets, pixies, and creating custom hairstyles that are effortless and easy! Capri is also very passionate about teaching you about your hair and how to style it. Shes your hairs new best friend!

Fun Facts: Capri is autistic, adhd, has hEds, and is kinda weird but really funny!!! Shes great at holding a convo but also loves just vibing if you need a chill quiet haircut! Capri’s favorite things: making new friends, plants, tarot card readings, astrology, animals, and soul healing.

Keldan

With a lifelong love of beauty and fashion, Keldan embodies both masculine and feminine energy. Proficient in a range of styles, from short haircuts and fades to medium-to-long scissor cuts, and layered hairstyles. They have considerable experience across a wide spectrum of hair types, ranging from coarse to fine textures and straight to wavy, looser curl types. Having primarily focused on hair cutting during their professional career behind the chair, they now seek to broaden their expertise by delving more into the art of hair coloring as well. Keldan prioritizes guest satisfaction, striving to ensure that each client leaves with a style that brings them confidence and joy.

Tim

At the early age of 6 yrs old, Tim developed his love and passion for hair at his grandmother’s local small-town beauty shop. Tim specializes in all types hair coloring and barbering while also being highly skilled in modifying topper and lace fronts, but that’s not all! Tim also specializes braids, locks and extensions. He attended barber school at the age of 19 at Louisiana Technical College in Shreveport, LA and furthered his training with Toni&Guy in Dallas, TX. In addition to opening a salon of his own he was an artistic director as a Redken Color Specialist. He then had the privilege of taking a new direction in hishis career when he began working in film where he is a proud member of IATSE Local 798 since 2009 where he worked on various sets such as Astronauts Wives Club, Magnificent Seven, Tall Girl, and Hocus Pocus II. In 2016, Tim was nominated for best hair stylist in a mini series in the Make-up Artists and Hairstylist Guild. He has had the pleasure of working with a number of fabulous stars such as JoAnna Garcia, Dan Leavy, Alfie Alan, Ron Perlman , Keala Settle, and Kathy Bates. He feels it’s truly been an honor to have been able to experience the theater and performance aspect of the business. The writers strike changed the course of Tim’s professional journey leading him to Colorado in search of another new adventure! Tim is very excited to be more involved in the LGBTQIA+ community in Denver and am honored to bring his talent and expertise to Above Ground. Tim believes your hair is a beacon of who you are. As your stylist, he will listen to what you want your look to say about you, and transform you into the Star you already are!

Whether it be vivid colors, balayage, edgy pixie cuts, fades, or extensions- I’m your person. My goal is to help you find a style that feels unique to you and works with your every day routine. I’ve been creating personalized hair styles for about 6 years now. I graduated in 2017 from Toni and Guy Academy where I learned “cutting edge techniques” (mind the pun lol). Took a break from working in the salon so I could open and run a small local restaurant with my partner (ask me about it if you are interested and I may even be able to hook you up with some delicious food). Anyway, I never stopped playing with hair during that time because it will always be a passion and love of mine to create!

Bonus: I use quality vegan & cruelty-free products, while also committing to be as zero-waste as possible.
